Youngsters as Photographers – Introducing Summer School
Could your child or teen be an amazing photographer? Perhaps they are already exploring this creative medium. As parents and mentors we desire only for our children to excel & flourish in this world of endless possibilities. We try to identify and direct their talents and so send them to all school activities after hours programmes and sign them up for sports of all kinds. If your child is a keen photographer, or has an artistic inclination, acknowledge them and encourage them; let them join local photography clubs and school photography associations. There is always a need for school photographers to cover news-worthy events for their local schools newspapers.
I have seen in my own life and that of my family, how a little encouragement and guidance can stir up creative juices and joy. Let’s open doors and give our young ones creative instruments of expressing themselves, that they might start exploring their visual skills and artistic eye. After all you are never too young to learn.
If you would like to introduce your children to the wonderful world of photography, you can start as soon as they are out of their nappies. At this age we will entrust them with point and shoot cameras, or (disposable camera’s) which they can also use in and around the pool and during holidays at the sea. The young teenager will be ready to learn on a single reflex camera from ages of 12 and beyond.
We would like to invite you to send your children to attend our photographic summer school.
We will teach on their compact digital cameras and also introduce them to the concept of basic digital photo editing. We will cater for two different age groups GRADE 4 -7 & GRADE 8-11.
